Ranchi. With the aim of spreading public awareness towards environmental protection, Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) in collaboration with Arpita Mahila Mandal organized the closing ceremony of World Environment Day-2025 fortnight in the Executive Hostel premises at Gandhi Nagar with great enthusiasm. This year the theme of the event was "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam". On this occasion, more than 250 members of the CCL family, including officers, employees, women and children, participated in the program with full enthusiasm. Under this campaign inspired by emotional attachment, 75 saplings were planted and more than 100 saplings were distributed. During the program, the participants were motivated to become partners in environmental protection by planting trees in their homes.
This event was the closing event of the 'Environmental Awareness Fortnight' running from June 1. On this day, a quiz competition, cultural program for the employees and a grand prize distribution ceremony were also organized to honor the winners of the previously held competitions.
The programme was led by Preeti Singh, President of Arpita Mahila Mandal. In her inspirational address, she said that protecting nature is our collective responsibility. We all must conserve natural resources to ensure a safe future for the next generation. She appealed to encourage natural seed propagation by reusing fruit seeds and called the elimination of single-use plastic the need of the hour.
