Woman cheated of 50 thousand in Mandar

Ranchi: A woman was cheated of 50 thousand rupees on Monday from the ATM of Bank of India Mandar branch in the police station area. The fraudsters deceived the woman and changed her ATM card and withdrew money from her account.

Fraud incident

The woman had gone to withdraw money from the ATM, but she was unable to withdraw money. During this, two unknown fraudsters pretended to help her and changed her ATM card and withdrew 50 thousand rupees from her account. The fraudsters gave 2 thousand rupees to the woman and kept the rest of the money with themselves.

Caught in CCTV footage

The fraudsters went to a shop named Shankar and Sons in Mandar and bought goods worth 54 thousand rupees, out of which 4 thousand rupees were paid in cash and the remaining 50 thousand rupees were paid from the cheated ATM card. Mandar police has registered a case and started searching for the fraudsters on the basis of CCTV footage.
