Waterlogging poses risk of disease spreading in RIMS

Ranchi: During inspection of premises by RIMS Director Prof (Dr) Raj Kumar, waterlogging and sewage were observed around medicine ward, orthopedic ward, prisoner ward etc. Despite repeated instructions to PHED personnel posted in RIMS, no action is being taken. Patients, their families, doctors and staff are facing problems due to waterlogging and sewerage. There is also a risk of spread of diseases due to waterlogging. 

      Apart from this, it should be known that the PHED department had informed the media that a purifier worth Rs 8 lakh has been installed in the director's bungalow, despite this, clean water is not available in the director's bungalow. Despite continuous verbal and written instructions, no clarification has come from PHED nor has any work been done in this direction. This is a direct example of disregard of orders and inaction.
