Rangoli Bihu organized at Rabindra Bhawan of CMPDI

 

Ranchi: Rangoli Bihu celebration was organized by Assamese Society, Ranchi at Rabindra Bhawan of CMPDI. Chief Guest CMPDI Chairman-cum-Managing Director Manoj Kumar and Special Guest Director (Technical/CRD) Shankar Nagachari and Director (Technical/P&D/RD&T) Ajay Kumar jointly inaugurated the celebration. General Manager (Human Resources) of the institute Sanjay Kadambar was present on this occasion.

       CMPDI Chairman-cum-Managing Director Manoj Kumar said that our country is a country with different cultures and traditions. Rangoli Bihu/Bohag is a major festival of Assam and this festival is related to harvest. On this occasion, new clothes and special types of food dishes are made. This festival is celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm in Assam.

        On this occasion, folk songs and folk dances were presented by Manju Dihigiya, Tina Moni Hazarika, Hanumani, Aparajita, Siddika, Erica, Sumi Das and Kritiparna Sarma, Varnali Banik etc. of Assamese Society, Ranchi.

        Dr. Pankaj Das, Som Bahadur Tamang, Niroj Boraguhay, Pralay Bhattacharya, Gagan Boro, Kumaresh Hazarika and other members played an important role in organizing this function.
