Lohardaga, October 23, 2026: In view of the upcoming Diwali festival, Sub-Divisional Officer Amit Kumar held a meeting with temporary firecracker vendors at his office on October 22 and issued necessary instructions regarding the sale of green crackers and compliance with safety standards. The meeting was held under the directions of the Lohardaga Deputy Commissioner, with a focus on ensuring safe and regulated sales at the Diwali fair to be organised at the Collectorate Ground.
During the meeting, the Sub-Divisional Officer highlighted the importance of green crackers and directed all temporary vendors to obtain valid licences before selling firecrackers. He instructed them to ensure that all sales comply with the prescribed standards and regulations.
Emphasising fire safety, Amit Kumar directed every shopkeeper to keep a fire extinguisher and a bucket filled with sand at their respective stalls to deal with any emergency. The administration stressed that all vendors must strictly follow the prescribed rules and safety standards to ensure that firecracker sales during Diwali remain safe and orderly.
