Ranchi: Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) General Secretary Vinod Pandey hit back at the BJP over its criticism of the Mukhyamantri Sarathi Yojana, asking the party to first seek answers from the Narendra Modi-led central government regarding its promise to provide two crore jobs every year. He questioned how many young people have received permanent employment so far, stating that youths across the country are protesting over unemployment and recruitment issues while the BJP is engaging in political rhetoric instead of addressing their concerns.
Pandey said the Jharkhand government, under Chief Minister Hemant Soren, is working to connect young people with skill development, employment and self-employment opportunities. He stated that the Mukhyamantri Sarathi Yojana aims to make youth self-reliant through job-oriented training. He also accused the BJP-led central government of treating Jharkhand unfairly, alleging that delays in releasing the Centre's share of funds are adversely affecting the implementation of public welfare schemes in the state. He urged the Centre to release the state's allocated funds on time.
The JMM leader further asked the BJP to clarify its achievements in tackling unemployment, filling vacant government posts and creating new job opportunities for young people. He said that if the BJP has concerns about the implementation of the Mukhyamantri Sarathi Yojana, it should present facts rather than engage in political attacks. Pandey reaffirmed that the Jharkhand government remains committed to providing opportunities to youth and strengthening public welfare initiatives, urging the BJP to abandon its alleged double standards and accept accountability for the Centre's employment commitments as well.
