Preparation for the August 5 Draft Voter List in Final Stages; SIR Work 100% Complete in 7 Jharkhand Assembly Constituencies

The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) campaign in Jharkhand is rapidly approaching its final stage. Chief Electoral Officer K. Ravi Kumar announced that the enumeration phase has been fully completed (100%) in the Koderma, Chaibasa, Majhgaon, Jagannathpur, Manoharpur, Chakradharpur, and Kolebira assembly constituencies. He congratulated the voters, BLOs, BLAs, District Election Officers, and all officials and personnel associated with the campaign in these areas.
According to the Election Commission, there are a total of 26,463,236 voters listed. Enumeration forms have been delivered to 26,397,006 (99.75%) of these voters. So far, the filled and signed forms of 21,304,623 voters have been digitized; their names will be included in the draft voter list scheduled for publication on August 5.
Data indicates that 3,030,624 forms were not returned; this includes 661,656 voters who were deceased, 806,841 absent, 1,220,570 permanently shifted, 320,745 already registered elsewhere, and 20,812 who refused to sign the form.
According to the Chief Electoral Officer's office, the digitization of a total of 24,335,247 (91.96%) enumeration forms has been completed so far. The Election Commission has issued instructions to complete the remaining work within the stipulated timeframe to ensure the smooth publication of the draft voter list on August 5.
