New Momentum for India-Indonesia Relations: PM Modi Receives Grand Welcome from Indian Community in Jakarta; President Prabowo Also Present
Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a warm and grand welcome from the Indian community and Indonesian friends of India in Jakarta. Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto was also present alongside Prime Minister Modi on this special occasion.
Describing the Indian diaspora as a strong pillar of the friendship between India and Indonesia, Prime Minister Modi stated that the relationship between the two nations is rooted in mutual trust, shared culture, and historical ties. He noted that the civilizational bonds between India and Indonesia, spanning thousands of years, continue to connect the two countries today.
Highlighting India's rapid economic progress, modern infrastructure, startup revolution, and achievements in poverty alleviation, PM Modi remarked that India has emerged as a key hub of global growth.
The Prime Minister urged the diaspora community to play an active role in realizing the visions of ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’ (Developed India 2047) and ‘Indonesia Emas 2045’ (Golden Indonesia 2045). He affirmed that India would work together with Indonesia and the ASEAN region to foster development and prosperity.
