Jharkhand poised for a new wave of investment; Chief Minister Hemant Soren discusses major partnerships with domestic and global industry leaders
Skill development collaboration with Singapore, tourism promotion with EaseMyTrip and MakeMyTrip, and new employment prospects through investments by Hero and Avon Cycles
New Delhi/Ranchi: Under the leadership of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Jharkhand is making rapid strides in industrial development and global investment. During the 'National Stakeholders Consultation-2026,' leading domestic and international companies and industry bodies expressed enthusiasm regarding investment and partnership opportunities in the state.
A delegation led by Simon Wong Wie Kuen, Singapore’s High Commissioner to India, discussed potential collaborations with the Chief Minister in areas such as world-class skill development centers, Centers of Excellence, healthcare, medical education, and research.
The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) presented investment proposals focused on green energy, solar and wind power, smart metering, energy infrastructure, and modern technology. The state government emphasized its commitment to prioritizing green and sustainable industrial development.
FICCI suggested promoting nature tourism, destination weddings, sports tourism, and world-class amenities to establish Jharkhand as a new tourism hub.
EaseMyTrip and MakeMyTrip expressed their willingness to collaborate with the state government via digital platforms to showcase Jharkhand’s scenic landscapes, culture, and tourist attractions to a global audience.
Meanwhile, meetings with Hero Cycles and Avon Cycles focused on establishing bicycle and e-bicycle manufacturing units in Jharkhand. These initiatives hold the potential to attract investments ranging from ₹500 crore to ₹1,000 crore and create thousands of employment opportunities.
A proposal to develop an international-standard golf course and golf tourism center in Ranchi was also put forward, which could give Jharkhand a distinct identity in the sports tourism sector.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren stated that the Jharkhand government is fostering a robust industrial ecosystem for investors. New partnerships across the sectors of industry, tourism, energy, and employment will accelerate the state's development in the coming years.
