Ranchi, July 13. A two-day workshop began on Monday at the State Institute of Rural Development (SIRD) in Ranchi, aimed at accelerating rural development by fostering better synergy between Panchayati Raj institutions and community-based organizations.

In her address, the Minister stated that strong coordination between Panchayats and Self-Help Groups (SHGs) is the key to the economic and social development of villages. She noted that the state government is continuously striving to bring women into the mainstream of development, and the role of women associated with SHGs in the state's progress is becoming increasingly significant.

Deepika Pandey Singh mentioned that the government is working rapidly towards the effective implementation of PESA (Panchayats Extension to Scheduled Areas) rules.
