Video Containing Serious Allegations Against Dhanbad SSP Goes Viral; Babulal Demands Judicial Inquiry

Jharkhand's Leader of the Opposition, Babulal Marandi, has raised serious questions regarding the state government in light of an alleged video released from abroad by Dhanbad's notorious criminal, Prince Khan. Sharing an edited excerpt of the video on the social media platform 'X', Marandi has demanded an impartial inquiry into the entire matter under judicial supervision.
Marandi stated that the allegations leveled against the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Dhanbad in the video are extremely grave. The video allegedly contains accusations such as the forceful seizure of land belonging to the poor, collusion with the mining mafia, and the misuse of administrative authority. He asserted that if there is even a shred of truth to these allegations, it constitutes a matter of grave concern for the state's law and order situation and its administrative machinery.
The Leader of the Opposition has demanded that Chief Minister Hemant Soren order a high-level inquiry into the entire episode, immediately remove the concerned official from duty, and ensure that the allegations regarding the mining mafia and administrative collusion are investigated under judicial supervision.
Marandi noted that, in fulfilling his role as a responsible opposition leader, he has exercised restraint; consequently, only an edited portion of the video has been made public to prevent the creation of an atmosphere of fear or anarchy within society. He further added that the full video—which has gone viral on social media—will be personally provided to the Chief Minister.
In his post, Babulal Marandi also tagged Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, the PMO, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the ED, the CBI, and the Income Tax Department.
He concluded by stating that the people of Jharkhand are now watching to see whether the government stands by the rule of law or is operating under the pressure of the mafia nexus.
