Ranchi Administration on Alert for JPSC Backlog Civil Services Preliminary Exam; Emphasis Placed on Fair and Peaceful Conduct

The Ranchi District Administration is on high alert to ensure the successful, fair, and peaceful conduct of the Jharkhand Combined Civil Services (Backlog) Preliminary Competitive Examination-2023, organized by the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC). The examination is scheduled to be held on May 10 across 15 examination centers within the Ranchi district, conducted in two shifts.


In this regard, a high-level joint meeting was convened under the directives of Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Magistrate Manjunath Bhajantri. The meeting was jointly presided over by Additional District Magistrate (Law & Order) Rajeshwar Nath Alok and Sadar Sub-Divisional Officer Kumar Rajat.


During the meeting, detailed discussions were held regarding security arrangements, transparency, discipline, and the maintenance of law and order at the examination centers. All Zonal Magistrates were instructed to maintain strict vigilance at the centers and to prevent any form of irregularity.


The administration placed special emphasis on the following key points:


Strict security arrangements at all examination centers


Traffic and crowd control in the vicinity of the centers


Rigorous surveillance to prevent malpractices


Preparedness to handle emergency situations


A system for regular reporting by Zonal Magistrates


The District Administration has appealed to the candidates to carry only permitted materials to the examination centers and to refrain from gathering unnecessarily in crowds around the centers.
