“Operation Prahar” Sparks Panic Among Criminals
Major Crackdown by Ranchi Police: Over 100 Criminals Arrested, More Than 220 Warrants Executed
Ranchi: Acting under the directives of the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Ranchi, and under the leadership of the Superintendents of Police (SPs) for City, Traffic, and Rural divisions, the Ranchi Police conducted a special drive titled “Operation Prahar” over the past two days. As part of this campaign, the Ranchi Police undertook a massive operation, arresting over 100 criminals and executing more than 220 pending arrest warrants. This initiative is being hailed as one of the most significant operations ever conducted by the Ranchi Police.
A specialized strategy was devised for “Operation Prahar” with the specific objectives of curbing crime, executing pending warrants, and tightening the noose around organized criminal networks. Continuing late into the night, the operation saw police teams conducting continuous raids across various police station jurisdictions within the district, successfully apprehending absconding criminals, wanted individuals, and suspects.
During the course of the campaign, several accused individuals were arrested who had been evading the police and remaining at large for extended periods. This special drive involved the participation of a large contingent of police officers and personnel—including all District SPs, Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), and Station House Officers (SHOs).
The Ranchi Police have categorically stated that such stringent action against crime and criminals will continue unabated in the future, with the aim of maintaining robust law and order within the district and upholding a sense of security among the general citizenry.
