MoU Signed Between Jharkhand Chamber and Ballari Chamber; Consensus Reached on Investment and Industrial Expansion

Ranchi: A significant step was taken on Friday toward strengthening business and industrial cooperation between Jharkhand and Karnataka. A joint meeting was held at the Chamber Bhawan between the Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industries and the Ballari District Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Karnataka), wherein industry and trade representatives from both states engaged in detailed discussions regarding opportunities for investment, trade expansion, and industrial collaboration. During the event, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was also signed between the two organizations.

Key attendees at the meeting included Arva Rajkamal, Industry Secretary to the Government of Jharkhand, and Vishal Sagar, Director of Industries. The program commenced with the welcoming of the Ballari Chamber delegation by the Chamber's General Secretary, Rohit Agarwal. He stated that this initiative marks the beginning of a new chapter in industrial, investment, tourism, and trade cooperation between the two states.

Jharkhand Chamber President Aditya Malhotra remarked that Jharkhand is rapidly entering a new phase of industrial development. The state's new Industrial Policy is poised to bring forth immense opportunities for investors. Describing Jharkhand as a mineral-rich and power-surplus state, he highlighted the abundant availability of minerals such as lithium, manganese, and bauxite within the region. Furthermore, he noted that vast potential exists across the textile, spice, agriculture, real estate, and export sectors.

Director of Industries Vishal Sagar pointed out that Jharkhand recently participated in the World Economic Forum held in Davos for the first time—a significant indicator of the state's progress toward industrial development. He placed particular emphasis on the investment opportunities available within the food processing, agriculture, and tourism sectors.

Industry Secretary Arva Rajkamal stated that Jharkhand is an industrially prosperous state, and there is no shortage of land available for industrial purposes. Noting that Ballari is a leader in the mining, manufacturing, and IT sectors, he expressed confidence that cooperation between the two states would generate new opportunities. Avvaru Manjunath, President of the Ballari District Chamber, invited entrepreneurs from Jharkhand to invest in Karnataka and extended an invitation to attend the MSME Conclave scheduled to be held in Bengaluru.

During the meeting, discussions were also held on topics such as religious and conventional tourism, business development, coal supply, cotton and chili supply, the supply of agricultural produce, and the ready-made jeans trade. Traders from both states agreed to organize joint business delegations and B2B meetings in the future.

The event was attended by office bearers and executive members of the Jharkhand Chamber, alongside several industrialists and investors from the Ballari Chamber.
