🔴 Major Crackdown on Drugs Racket in Ranchi: Two Suppliers Arrested with Over 1 kg of Ganja
Ranchi: In a significant operation against the illicit drug trade within the Kotwali police station area, the police have arrested two accused individuals involved in supplying Ganja (cannabis). This operation was conducted near the Jail Mor pond, acting upon a confidential tip-off.
Acting under the directives of the Senior Superintendent of Police, a raiding team led by the Assistant Superintendent of Police arrived at the scene and apprehended the two suspects. Upon spotting the police, the accused attempted to flee; however, demonstrating swiftness and agility, the team gave chase and successfully captured them.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Ravi Verma (28), a resident of New Madhukam (under the Sukhdeonagar police station jurisdiction), and Janardan Das (32), a resident of the Tamar police station area.
During interrogation, Janardan Das confessed that they procured Ganja from rural and outlying areas and supplied it to various individuals within Ranchi city. The police assert that this operation has exposed an organized drug supply network active within the city.
