Summer Action Plan in Ranchi: Preparations Intensify to Ensure Clean Water Supply in Every Ward
In view of the approaching summer season, the Ranchi Municipal Corporation has launched a comprehensive drive under its “Summer Action Plan” to ensure a clean and uninterrupted water supply across the city. While inspecting the water supply infrastructure, Municipal Commissioner Sushant Gaurav toured the Hatma Basti, Misirgonda, and Kanke Road areas. Directives were issued for the immediate repair, cleaning, and painting of HYDT units found to be in poor condition. Water is currently being supplied to the city through 2,507 hand pumps, 181 HYDTs, and 1,611 Mini HYDTs, while free water is being provided via 65 tankers in designated “dry zones.” Seven specialized teams have been deployed for repair work, and assurances have been given that all complaints will be resolved within 24 hours..
