For the financial year 2025-26, the state has received a record sum of ₹2,254 crore under the 15th Finance Commission. This amount will be distributed across the state's 4,345 Panchayats, ensuring that each Panchayat receives an average of ₹51.80 lakh (approximately ₹52 lakh). Since the formation of the state, this marks the largest financial assistance ever extended to its Panchayats.
