Jharkhand Transformed by the Power of Women: Steps Towards Self-Reliance
Ranchi: At the 'Dainik Bhaskar Women Pride Awards 2026,' held in Ranchi, Deepika Pandey Singh—the Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj—honored women who have made outstanding contributions across various fields. She stated that the women of Jharkhand are driving social change through the strength of their self-confidence and hard work. Women associated with JSLPS are bringing glory to the state by becoming successful entrepreneurs through self-employment initiatives. They also play a pivotal role in environmental conservation, where the planting of millions of trees has served to strengthen both livelihoods and a greener future. The Minister further highlighted that the 52% participation of women in MGNREGA serves as a clear indicator of empowerment within the state.
