Respect and Prompt Pensions for Retired Teachers: A Sensitive Initiative by the Ranchi Administration
Ranchi, April 1, 2026: The Ranchi District Administration organized a 'Pension Darbar' (Pension Camp) cum Retirement Felicitation Ceremony at the Conference Hall located within the Collectorate premises. Presided over by Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri, the event saw 10 retired teachers and one staff member being honored with shawls, mementos, and certificates of appreciation for their outstanding contributions. The Deputy Commissioner stated that the provision of pensionary benefits on the very day of retirement reflects the administration's commitment. He urged the teachers to remain active in the service of society. On this occasion, an appointment letter for the post of Assistant Teacher was also handed over to Jagdishwar Pramanik. Other officials, including District Deputy Collector Vivek Suman and District Education Superintendent Badal Raj, were present at the program.
