In the quinquennial elections of the Jharkhand State Bar Council, Sanjay Kumar Vidrohi—an advocate at the Civil Court, Ranchi, and General Secretary of the RDBA—has once again achieved a resounding victory, successfully retaining his seat. In the vote-counting results released on Wednesday, he officially secured the win after fulfilling the stipulated quota of 677 votes.

For this election, a quota of 677 votes was established as the threshold for victory; any candidate surpassing this figure is declared elected. By crossing this crucial milestone, Vidrohi ensured his victory for the second consecutive term—a feat that underscores his strong standing within the legal fraternity.

Prior to this, Abdul Kalam Rasidi, Lalit Yadav, Abhishek Kumar Bharti, Prashant Kumar Singh, Mrityunjay Kumar Srivastava, Pawan Ranjan Khatri, Manoj Kumar, Mahesh Tiwari, Anil Kumar Tiwary, and Raj Kumar had also secured victories by attaining the required quota.

Under the ongoing election process, the selection of 10 male advocates remains pending, while five female advocates have already secured their victories. Additionally, two female advocates are to be selected through nomination.

It was reported that voting took place on March 12 across 75 polling booths throughout Jharkhand, with approximately 100 candidates contesting the elections.

Sanjay Kumar Vidrohi's victory was met with immense enthusiasm among the legal community. Hundreds of lawyers congratulated him, hailing the win as a testament to the confidence placed in his work and leadership capabilities. By securing a victory for the second consecutive term, Vidrohi has once again reaffirmed his strong and influential presence in the realm of Bar politics.
