Industrial Sewing Center Inspected in Lohardaga; Deputy Commissioner Directs Expansion

Deputy Commissioner Sandeep Kumar Meena inspected the industrial sewing center operated by the 'Saksham Mahila Utpadak Samooh' (Capable Women Producers' Group), located in the Kisko block of the district. During the visit, he took stock of the school uniform manufacturing operations underway at the center and gathered information regarding production output and income levels from the women working there.
During the inspection, the Deputy Commissioner encouraged the members of the women's group to increase their production in the future. He directed the District Project Manager (DPM) of JSLPS to expand the sewing center on a larger scale, with the aim of generating employment opportunities for a greater number of people and boosting the income of the women involved.
The Deputy Commissioner observed various activities at the center—such as fabric cutting, stitching, button attachment, and ironing—and commended the women for their work. He remarked that such initiatives are playing a pivotal role in advancing the economic empowerment of women.
Also present during the inspection were Additional Collector Jitendra Munda, ITDA Project Director Sushma Neelam Soreng, IPS officer Vedant Shankar, SDO Amit Kumar, and other officials.
