A New Direction for Cancer Treatment in Jharkhand: Free Treatment and Expansion of Modern Facilities
During HCGCON 2.0, held in Ranchi, Health Minister Dr. Irfan Ansari announced a comprehensive strategy to combat cancer. He stated that victory over cancer is achievable through timely diagnosis and appropriate treatment. PET-CT scan facilities will be made available in all Sadar Hospitals across the state, and screening campaigns will be conducted in every district. Women will be provided with free HPV vaccinations. The financial assistance provided for the treatment of critical illnesses has been increased from ₹5 lakh to ₹15 lakh. The Minister invited experts to contribute to the expansion of modern healthcare services in Jharkhand and appealed to the public to remain vigilant and undergo regular health check-ups.
