A one-day training camp for Hajj pilgrims was organized at the Hajj House in Kadru, Ranchi, witnessing the participation of a large number of pilgrims. Dismissing concerns circulating regarding the situation in the Gulf nations, Dr. Irfan Ansari—Chairman of the Hajj Committee and Health Minister—stated that the Hajj pilgrimage is entirely safe and proceeding normally. He informed that 1,530 pilgrims are scheduled to undertake the Hajj journey this year: 250 will depart from Mumbai, 246 from Delhi, and 1,036 from Kolkata. The first batch is set to depart from Kolkata on April 18. The Minister himself will be present at the Kolkata Airport from April 18 to April 23.
