BJP attacks government, alleging public money for building a "Sheesh Mahal"
Ranchi: BJP state spokesperson Pratul Shahdev has accused the Jharkhand government of constructing a luxurious residence for the Chief Minister costing approximately ₹100 crore. He said that in a state where a large number of tribal and indigenous families still struggle for basic amenities like livelihood, education, and health, the government is constructing a "Sheesh Mahal" for the Chief Minister, featuring amenities like a swimming pool, a Jacuzzi, a fountain worth ₹2 crore, and a garden worth approximately ₹2.5 crore.
Pratul Shahdev said that the project was approved by the cabinet, but details were not made public. He claimed that the main building has been reported to cost ₹47 crore, which, when other items are added, reaches ₹70 crore, and the cost could exceed ₹100 crore. The BJP will take this issue to the public.
