Traders concerned over shortage of weights and measures officers: Chamber
A meeting was held at the Chamber building to address the difficulties faced in license renewals and equipment verification due to the shortage of weights and measures officers in the state. President Aditya Malhotra demanded the appointment of one inspector in each district and promised no fines until they are posted. General Secretary Rohit Agarwal promised to meet with the departmental minister to find a solution. The meeting also suggested making the inspectors' contact details public and holding quarterly camps until a permanent appointment is made. Pramod Saraswat, Mukesh Agarwal, and Alok Kumar were present.
