Government conducting non-partisan civic elections to avoid public discontent: Raghuvar Das
Former Chief Minister Raghuvar Das alleged that the state government is conducting civic elections on a non-partisan basis to avoid public discontent. He said that people in urban areas are still struggling for basic amenities like water, health, and education. Das stated that the pending civic elections until 2022 have affected approximately ₹5,100 crore in central funds for urban development. Citing the growing public support for BJP-backed candidate Roshni Khalkho in Ranchi, he said the city's population appears to be in favor of change.
