Tribute to the Father of the Nation in London on Republic Day, Chief Minister Hemant Soren recalls the ideals of Truth and Non-Violence

London/Ranchi, January 26.

On the sacred occasion of the 77th Republic Day, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren paid a heartfelt tribute to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, by offering floral homage at his statue in Parliament Square, London. He said that Bapu’s ideals of truth, non-violence, and integrity continue to guide purposeful leadership, social service, and just governance even today.


The Chief Minister remarked that Mahatma Gandhi’s thoughts are not merely a priceless legacy of the freedom movement, but remain powerful guides for democracy, social harmony, and moral values in the present times. His life inspires us to act with restraint, compassion, and moral courage.


On the occasion, students from Jharkhand pursuing studies abroad, members of the Indian diaspora, and other distinguished citizens were present. They paid their respects to the Father of the Nation and made this historic moment truly memorable.
