Ranchi: A three-day orientation program focused on the 'Jan Arogya Samiti' (JAS) and 'TB-Free Panchayat' concluded on Wednesday at the Sadar Hospital premises. Addressing the participants, Civil Surgeon Dr. Prabhat Kumar emphasized that the active involvement of Community Health Officers (CHOs) and local representatives is crucial for improving healthcare delivery. He noted that success is guaranteed when Mukhia, CHOs, and Sahiyas work together as a team.
State Nodal Officer Dr. Kamlesh Kumar informed that an annual fund of ₹50,000 has been allocated to each committee for the development of Ayushman Arogya Mandirs. He also highlighted a significant 21% decline in TB cases during 2025. During the session, Barahatu Mukhia Rekha Devi and other local leaders shared their successful grassroots experiences in making their villages TB-free.
