Senior Superintendent of Police, Ranchi Rakesh Ranjan; Deputy Development Commissioner Saurabh Kumar Bhuvaniya; Additional District Magistrate Rajeshwar Nath Alok; Superintendent of Police (City & Traffic); Sub-Divisional Officer (Sadar) Kumar Rajat; along with senior officers from various administrative, police, municipal and line departments were present in the meeting.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the Building Division to ensure arrangements for waterproof pandals/galleries and seating on both sides of the ground for visitors, leveling of the field, barricading, construction of the main stage and towers for sound systems. Instructions were also issued to the District Nazarat Deputy Collector to make arrangements for waterproof pandals on both sides of the stage, VVIP seating on the dais, minute-to-minute programme management, refreshments for parade cadets and floral decorations.
The Electrical Works Division was instructed to ensure uninterrupted power supply and installation of sound-proof generators. The Drinking Water and Sanitation Department was directed to arrange drinking water facilities, VIP toilets and temporary toilets for cadets participating in parade rehearsals at Morabadi Ground.
The Deputy Commissioner further instructed concerned officials to ensure timely completion of road repairs leading to Morabadi, cleanliness, medical camps, ambulance services and fire safety arrangements. Traffic police were directed to ensure proper parking arrangements and facilitate the movement and parking of trailers and large vehicles used for tableaux.
Municipal Corporation officials were instructed to ensure cleanliness at the venue and surrounding areas, including all major roads leading to the ceremony site. The Civil Surgeon (Sadar), Ranchi, was directed to ensure medical facilities, medical camps and ambulance services during the event.
Sharing details of the programme, the Deputy Commissioner stated that the main attraction of Republic Day Celebration 2026 will be the tableaux, showcasing important schemes and policies of the Jharkhand Government, along with the state’s rich art, culture, traditions and historical heritage in a lively and impactful manner.
A total of 12 departmental tableaux will be displayed during the celebration at Morabadi Ground. These include the Forest, Environment & Climate Change Department; Rural Development Department; Home, Prison & Disaster Management Department; School Education & Literacy Department; Agriculture, Animal Husbandry & Cooperation Department; Information & Public Relations Department; Tourism, Art, Culture, Sports & Youth Affairs Department; Health, Medical Education & Family Welfare Department; Khadi & Village Industries Board; Transport Department; Women, Child Development & Social Security Department; and Higher & Technical Education Department.
The celebration will feature a parade by approximately 15 platoons along with three bands. Parade rehearsals will be conducted from January 18 to January 23, 2026, with the final rehearsal scheduled for January 24, 2026.
The Deputy Commissioner directed all concerned officials to complete preparations within the stipulated timeframe to ensure that the Republic Day Celebration 2026 is conducted in a grand, disciplined and successful manner.
