Criminals Unchecked, Police Apathetic: Aditya Sahu

Ranchi | In connection with the case of two minor children, Anshika Kumari and Ansh Kumar, who went missing near the Mausi Bari Khatal area in Jagannathpur, Bharatiya Janata Party’s State Working President and Rajya Sabha MP Aditya Sahu met the affected family and expressed his deep condolences. He assured the parents of all possible assistance.

Speaking on the occasion, Aditya Sahu strongly criticised the state government and the police administration, alleging that criminals are roaming free in the state while the police remain indifferent. He said that despite the seriousness of the incident, the Chief Minister and concerned ministers have maintained complete silence. Several days have passed, yet no government representative has reached out to the victim’s family, exposing the government’s lack of sensitivity.

Aditya Sahu further said that had such an incident occurred with a family belonging to an influential or special section of society, the entire government machinery would have rushed to their doorstep. Compensation announcements would have followed, and a show of sympathy would have begun. However, since the victims belong to a simple and poor family, both the government’s compassion and constitutional responsibility are missing.

He pointed out that the incident took place in a posh and supposedly high-security area in the heart of the state capital, Ranchi, located just a short distance from the Vidhan Sabha, Project Building and the Jharkhand High Court. Such an incident in the capital city, he said, raises serious questions about the state’s law and order situation.

Aditya Sahu stated that when innocent children are not safe even in the most secure areas of the capital, it reflects the alarming condition of law and order across the entire state. He asserted that the BJP would continue its fight against this negligence, insensitivity and administrative failure from the streets to the House.

Those present on the occasion included Amar Kumar Bauri, Saroj Singh, Hemant Das, Ashok Badaik, Ram Kumar Pahan, Varun Sahu, Dheeraj Mahto, Balram Singh, Jitendra Verma, Suraj Chourasia, Umesh Yadav, Umesh Tiwari, Poonam Jaiswal, Neelam Chaudhary and Neeraj Singh, along with several party workers and local residents.
