Ranchi/Namkum: In view of the severe cold wave, relief was extended to underprivileged people on the initiative of Khijri Assembly constituency MLA . Warm blankets were distributed among poor and needy families at Tang Tang Toli in the Sithio area of Namkum block.
During the blanket distribution programme, MLA representative and food supply department representative Karmadev Singh said that the MLA gives top priority to the service of the poor and marginalized sections of society. He added that such welfare-oriented programmes are regularly organised to ensure timely assistance to those in need during the winter season.
The programme was attended by Nutan Ekka, Prakash Tirkey, Manu Tigga, Chilgu Kachhap, along with other dignitaries and a large number of local residents.
