📰 Ranchi DC Reviews Land Acquisition Cases, Directs Timely Compensation

A review meeting regarding land acquisition matters related to various ongoing development projects in Ranchi district was held under the chairmanship of Shri Manjunath Bhajantri, Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Magistrate, Ranchi.
In the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Shri Manjunath Bhajantri gave clear instructions, stating that the completion of all development projects within the stipulated time limit is the highest priority. He directed the concerned executing agencies and officials to work with mutual coordination and ensure the quick resolution of hurdles faced by the projects.
Key Directives
Reviewing the land acquisition cases, the Deputy Commissioner directed officials to expedite the payment of compensation to the Raiyats (landowners).
* He emphasized that unnecessary delay in compensation payment affects the progress of projects and will not be accepted under any circumstances.
* A special review was conducted for various projects operated by NHAI (National Highways Authority of India) in Ranchi district.
* NHAI officials were instructed to promptly dispose of pending compensation cases and ensure timely payment to Raiyats, allowing construction work to proceed smoothly.
* The DC also reviewed work related to the Sirm Toli Flyover and other flyover projects.
* He issued strict directives to the executing agencies to complete all projects within the deadline.
* For the Interchange Project, he directed the immediate payment of compensation to all affected Raiyats as per the fixed rates, and ordered to further accelerate the construction work.
Protecting Landowners' Rights
The Deputy Commissioner affirmed that protecting the rights of the affected Raiyats along with carrying out development works is a priority of the District Administration, and negligence at any level will not be tolerated in this regard.
The meeting was attended by Sub-Divisional Officer Ranchi, Sadar, Shri Utkarsh Kumar; District Land Acquisition Officer, Shri K.K. Rajhans; District Public Relations Officer, Smt. Urvashi Pandey; concerned officials of NHAI; Circle Officers; and other relevant officials.
