Paddy Procurement at 25 Centres in Lohardaga; Farmers Urged to Avail Benefits

Government to Pay ₹2,450 per Quintal in One-Time Payment

Deputy Commissioner of , Dr. Tarachand, on Saturday flagged off three awareness vehicles of the District Supply Department from the Collectorate premises in Lohardaga to spread awareness about paddy procurement in the district.

During the programme, the Deputy Commissioner appealed to farmers to sell their paddy only at the 25 designated government procurement centres. He informed that the government will make a one-time payment at the rate of ₹2,450 per quintal directly to farmers. Paddy procurement in the district has been underway since 15 December 2025.

He said the awareness vehicles will travel across different blocks of the district to inform farmers about procurement centres, registration procedures, and benefits under the scheme so that maximum farmers can take advantage.

Farmers willing to sell paddy can complete their registration through the e-Uparjan mobile application. After registration, they can book their procurement slot and also track the updated status. For any assistance or information, farmers can call the toll-free numbers 1967 or 1800-021-25512. Farmers may also contact the District Supply Office.

A total of 25 government paddy procurement centres have been set up in the district, including 21 LAMPS and 4 FPOs. These centres are located across Lohardaga, Kudu, Kisko, Senha, Kairo, and Bhandra blocks to ensure easy access for farmers.

On the occasion, District Supply Officer Manish Kumar, DCLR Sujata Kujur, Block Agriculture Officer Ajay Agrawal, and other officials were present. The district administration reiterated its commitment to transparent procurement and timely payment to farmers.
