Five-Day Football Tournament to Mark Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Munda Jayanti; First Prize ₹3 Lakh
The Central Sarna Committee has formally announced a five-day football tournament to commemorate the birth anniversary of Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Munda. Committee President Bablu Munda informed that registration for participating teams will be open from 9 December 2025 to 28 December 2025, with a registration fee of ₹25,000 per team.
The tournament will be held from 3 January 2026 to 7 January 2026 at the Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University Football Ground. Three matches will be played each day, and the duration of every match will be 25 minutes. Players delivering exceptional performances will also receive individual awards. Each team will be allowed to field only three foreign players. All players have been instructed to be ready 30 minutes before the match.
Chief Pahan Jaglal Pahan said that football is not just a sport but a medium that strengthens players both physically and mentally. He recalled that Jaipal Singh Munda was not only a legendary player but also a powerful voice of the Jharkhand state movement. This tournament is being organized in his memory.
Prize Money Structure
- First Prize: ₹3,00,000
- Second Prize: ₹2,00,000
- Third Prize: ₹41,000
- Fourth Prize: ₹41,000
