Minister Directs Officials to Accelerate Schemes with Creative and Constructive Approach
Ranchi, November 17: Agriculture Minister Shilpi Neha Tirkey made a surprise visit to the Agriculture Directorate on Monday and held a review meeting with officials of the Horticulture Department. She also gathered detailed information about various schemes being implemented under the department.
Officials Struggle With Data Preparation
During the review, departmental officials appeared troubled while preparing scheme-related data and information. Responding to this, the minister said that issuing showcause notices or taking action is not the only way to deal with sluggishness in schemes. Instead, she emphasized that creative thinking and a concrete action plan can also accelerate progress. She instructed officials to focus on this approach.
Discussion on Implementation Challenges
The meeting also included a comprehensive discussion on the challenges and obstacles faced in implementing schemes on the ground. The minister issued several directives to improve the pace and execution of the projects. Officials informed her that schemes related to mushroom production, distribution, and beekeeping are progressing positively.
