BJP’s Allegations Are Born Out of Frustration; BJP Unable to Digest Jharkhand’s Progress: Vinod Pandey
Ranchi, 17 November 2025:
Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) Central General Secretary Vinod Pandey has termed the allegations made by BJP National General Secretary Arun Singh as “a reaction driven by frustration and panic”. He said the BJP cannot accept the changing ground realities and the rising popularity of the Hemant Soren government in Jharkhand.
Pandey stated that during its one-and-a-half-decade rule, the BJP left Jharkhand in a state of stagnation and disorder, while today under Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s leadership, the state is moving steadily on the path of development and prosperity.
“BJP’s Politics Has Always Been Anti-Adivasi and Anti-Moolvasi”
Pandey said BJP leaders are unable to acknowledge the achievements of the Hemant government because their politics has historically been anti-tribal, anti-indigenous, and anti-poor.
He questioned:
“During 15 years of BJP rule, did Adivasi–Moolvasi communities receive better education, healthcare, employment, or rights over jal-jungle-zameen? Were the incomplete bridges, stalled roads, and closed factories a myth?”
Key Points: Pandey’s Sharp Attack on the BJP
1. BJP Has No Moral Right to Speak on Corruption
According to Pandey, corruption allegations from BJP are ironic.
He said:
“The party that created a nationwide ecosystem of corruption—from ED raj and demonetization to selling off public enterprises—should look at itself before accusing others. The Hemant government strengthened transparency and monitoring.”
2. BJP’s Commentary on Education & Health Is Laughable
Pandey listed major achievements of the Hemant Soren government:
- Teacher recruitment drives
- Upgradation of over 400 high schools
- Renovation of educational institutions
- Super-specialty health facilities in districts
He added:
“BJP leaders find it hard to acknowledge the achievements of an Adivasi leader. It simply isn’t in their political DNA.”
3. Central Assistance Is a Constitutional Responsibility, Not a Favor
Pandey said that the funds allocated to Jharkhand by the Central government are not charity.
He asked:
“Why does the BJP remain silent on the ₹1.36 lakh crore coal royalty dues? Why do they lose their voice when it comes to the 1932 land records-based local policy, Sarna religious code, or reservation for backward communities?”
4. BJP’s Comment on Ghatsila By-election Reflects Frustration of Defeat
Pandey asserted that the people of Ghatsila voted for JMM because they saw genuine development.
“Calling their defeat an outcome of sympathy is an insult to the voters,” he said.
“People Trust Hemant Government; BJP's Panic Is Visible”
Concluding his statement, Pandey said the BJP has exhausted itself spreading lies, but the people of Jharkhand have faith in the Hemant Soren government.
“Statements by leaders like Arun Singh only reflect their irritation and helplessness,” he added.
