Rahul Gandhi said, “The new government will be one that belongs to the poor, the backward, the extremely backward, the farmers, laborers, and the youth. Our priority will be to ensure access to quality education and healthcare for every family and to create employment opportunities for young people.”
He announced plans to restore the ancient glory of Nalanda University, saying, “We will redevelop Nalanda University as a world-class educational hub so that, as in the past, students from across the world can come here to study.”
Highlighting the needs of weavers and makhana farmers of Bihar, Gandhi said that the Grand Alliance government would provide better market access and facilities to ensure they receive fair prices for their products.
Attacking the BJP over the issue of vote manipulation, Gandhi alleged, “The BJP is implementing a plan to steal votes across the country. They have done it in Haryana, Chhattisgarh, and Maharashtra, and now they are trying to do the same in Bihar.”
He further claimed that some BJP leaders had voted more than once — “Many BJP leaders voted in Bihar on Thursday, and the same leaders had also voted in the Delhi elections. While BJP leaders are allowed to vote multiple times, the votes of those supporting Congress or the Grand Alliance are being deleted from the voter list.”
Rahul Gandhi warned that fake voter lists were being prepared in Bihar and that BJP workers would try to cast fake votes, but said, “The people of Bihar will not allow this to happen. They will stand at the polling booths and stop vote theft.”
He accused the BJP of undermining the Constitution, saying, “Our Constitution carries the voice of the people of India, but the BJP steals votes to help the rich, loot public money, and crush the Constitution.”
Addressing the people of Bhagalpur, Gandhi said, “The BJP and the Election Commission do not understand the spirit of the people of Bihar. The people here will never allow vote theft under any circumstances.”
At the end of the rally, Rahul Gandhi appealed to voters to ensure the victory of the Grand Alliance candidates. Congress candidates Ajit Sharma (Bhagalpur), Praveen Singh Kushwaha (Kahalgaon), Lalan Yadav, and other leaders of the Mahagathbandhan were present on the stage.
