Hindi Language Insulted in Lohardaga! Major Spelling Error on Board Near District Council Office, Administration Unmoved
Lohardaga: The new District Council office has been constructed after demolishing the old block office. The need for a modern building was long overdue, so the construction of the new office is being seen as a welcome step.
However, a board installed by the Municipal Corporation right in front of the office has sparked controversy. The Hindi board carries a major spelling mistake in the word “कार्यालय” (office). Thousands of people pass through this route every day, and the moment their eyes fall on the board, many point out how the Hindi language is being disrespected due to official negligence.
Local residents say that Hindi is respected only once a year on Hindi Diwas; the rest of the year, it is subjected to mockery and neglect.
What’s more serious is that even the DDC and other officials have not taken any notice of the incorrect board installed right beside the main gate of the District Council office.
People have demanded that the board be corrected immediately and action be taken against those responsible so that such negligence towards the Hindi language does not recur.
