Gross Negligence by Darbhanga House: BSNL Numbers of Several CCL GMs and Project Officers Disabled for Months

Communication System Paralyzed; Officers, Employees and Public Facing Serious Difficulties

Ranchi:  The government-issued BSNL mobile numbers of several General Managers (GMs) and Project Officers of Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) have reportedly been non-functional for several months. Shockingly, no action has been taken so far. Even more surprising is that Darbhanga House, the headquarters of CCL Jharkhand, is unaware of this ongoing issue.

🔶 Disabled Numbers, Disrupted Communication

  • Govt-issued BSNL numbers of key CCL officials have remained inactive/out of service for a long time.
  • Daily administrative operations are being affected due to the communication breakdown.
  • Quick coordination with project sites, production units, and safety teams has become difficult.

🔶 Officers Facing Major Problems

  • Many officers are forced to use their personal numbers for official communication.
  • This raises concerns about confidentiality and the handling of sensitive information.
  • In emergency situations, it has become difficult to reach responsible officials promptly.

One officer, on the condition of anonymity, said:
“These government numbers have been inactive for months. Daily operations are affected, and important information often gets delayed.”

🔶 Impact on Employees and Local Units

  • Employees working in mining areas are unable to reach senior officers.
  • Emergency communication has become slow and unreliable.
  • The overall system is suffering due to communication gaps and delays.

🔶 Darbhanga House Under Question

What raises the biggest concern is that CCL headquarters—Darbhanga House—has no information about the issue, despite it continuing for months.

  • Is the monitoring system so weak that even the disconnection of senior officials’ numbers goes unnoticed?
  • Is this the result of negligence or a lack of coordination?

🔶 Growing Demand for Immediate Action

Employees and other units have demanded:

  • An urgent review of all government-issued mobile numbers.
  • Identification of the reasons behind long-term disconnection.
  • Immediate restoration of the communication system for officers.

People say the prolonged disruption of communication reflects administrative insensitivity and negligence on the part of CCL.
