The meeting also discussed the New Education Policy. Members raised concerns over certain complex provisions of the Jharkhand Coaching Regulatory and Control Act, such as the high bank guarantee requirement, hefty penalties, and provisions that are unfavorable for smaller institutions.
Sub-Committee Chairpersons Vikas Sinha and Paras Agrawal jointly stated that the state government should review the Act and engage in dialogue with coaching institutions to simplify and make its provisions more practical in line with guidelines from other states and the central government.
Chamber Vice-Presidents Praveen Lohia and Ram Bangad emphasized that the education sector is the foundation of the state’s progress. They said that the delay in appointing the Vice-Chancellor is affecting academic and administrative work, and the government should take swift action to ensure stability in the university’s academic processes.
The meeting was attended by General Secretary Rohit Agrawal, Joint Secretary Navjot Alang, Treasurer Anil Agrawal, and Sub-Committee members Anis Mitra, Rahul Majumdar, Pratyush, and Gautam Kumar, among others.
