Preparations for Ravana Dahan at Ranchi's Morabadi Grounds Complete, Chief Minister and Minister of State for Defense to Attend

Jharkhand/Ranchi: Dussehra, symbolizing the victory of truth over falsehood, will be celebrated on October 2nd. Ravana Dahan is scheduled for Vijayadashami at Ranchi's Morabadi Grounds. Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Minister of State for Defense Sanjay Seth, and local MLA CP Singh will attend the event.

Kunal Ajmani of the Punjabi Hindu community stated on Wednesday that all preparations have been completed by the organizing committee. The stage, security, lighting, and tableau decorations are almost complete. Minor work remains, which artisans are busy completing.

He added that this year, giant effigies of Ravana, Kumbhakaran, and Meghnad have been prepared. Ravana's effigy will be 70 feet tall, Kumbhakaran's 65 feet tall, and Meghnad's 60 feet tall.

Organizers say that this year, state-of-the-art fireworks and special lighting have been arranged as a special attraction, which will be a thrilling experience for the spectators. Specially invited teams of artists from West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh will perform traditional dance and drama. Pyro Fire Works teams from Kolkata and Mumbai will display spectacular fireworks.

The tableaux decorated for the Ravana Dahan will also be a major attraction. These tableaux will depict various scenes from the Ramayana.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Minister of State for Defense Sanjay Seth, and local MLA CP Singh will attend the event as chief guests. Tight security arrangements have been made. The organizing committee stated that police forces have been deployed throughout the grounds and surrounding areas.

Argora Ground

In addition to Morabadi, special preparations have been made for the Ravana Dahan at Argora Ground this year. The effigy of Ravana here is 55 feet tall, the effigy of Kumbhakarna is 50 feet tall, and the effigy of Meghnath is 45 feet tall. Chief Minister Hemant Soren will also participate in this event. He will first burn Ravana at the Morabadi grounds and then participate in the burning of Ravana at the Argora grounds.
