Issuing instructions in this regard, the DGP's office has directed police officers in all districts to meet with the local District Chambers of Commerce in their respective districts before the meeting to gather business-related issues and suggestions. Speaking on the occasion, Chamber President Aditya Malhotra stated that the objective of this initiative is to further strengthen law and order in the state and ensure a safe and conducive environment for business activities. In this regard, the Jharkhand Chamber has communicated information to all district chambers of commerce.
During the meeting, concern was also expressed about the increasing incidence of cybercrime in the state. The delegation suggested that banks should be held accountable for cybercrime incidents. At the Chamber's request, the DGP assured to convene a special session on cybercrime prevention and banking security soon. He also informed that there is a provision for compensation for victims under Section 46 of the IT Act. During the meeting, the traffic system in the capital, Ranchi, was also discussed, and the need for improvement was emphasized.
The delegation included Chamber President Aditya Malhotra, Vice President Ram Bangar, Praveen Lohiya, Joint Secretaries Navjot Alag, and Rohit Poddar.
