Jharkhand/Palamu: A father, upset over his son's continued interaction with his mother, stabbed him 10 to 15 times in the neck while he was sleeping with a sharp sickle. The father fled after the incident, but police took action and arrested him within 24 hours from Ainwa Mainwa Tola in the Karmai Valley forest.

This incident occurred in Ratanpur, under the Panki police station area of ​​the district. The incident occurred on the night of October 4th and became known to the public on the morning of October 5th.

According to police, Suraj Kumar Thakur was murdered in Ratanpur by his father, Amit Kumar Thakur. Amit told them during interrogation that he had been at odds with his wife for a year. They had stopped communicating, but his son, Suraj, remained in contact with her. He would visit his grandparents' house. Despite repeated warnings, he would not listen. Angered by this, on the night of October 4th, he stabbed her neck 10 to 15 times with a sickle kept in the house and slit his throat, killing him.

Following the accused's directions, the police recovered the sickle used in the crime from the house, and the T-shirt and towel worn by her were recovered from the Karmai Valley in Ainwa Mainwa Tola, Ratanpur. The accused was remanded to judicial custody on Monday.
