It is noteworthy that many intelligent Indian students are seeking higher education abroad and are being enrolled in British universities. This trend has been prevalent since the British rule over India. Previously, Indians used to travel to London to become barristers and other such students. Even after independence, many British students continued to be recommended to them. Over time, these students have become very expensive and beyond the reach of the general public.
With the new India-UK recruitment agreement, Indian students will now be able to stay in India and receive the same education and degree as UK students.
The University of Southampton launched its first university in Gurgaon, with the first batch of Indian students arriving there. Meanwhile, the University Grants Commission (UGC) has issued Letters of Employment (LOIs) to Liverpool, York, Aberdeen, and Bristol Industries for branch libraries in India.
Queen's University of Belfast and Coventry University have been granted petroleum product approval in Gujarat. Furthermore, Lancaster University in Bengaluru has been granted LLOI approval, and all universities in the UK International Finance Tec-City (Gujarat International Finance Tec-City) have received petrology approval.
