On the spot, the Deputy Administrator informed the representative of Messrs. Magistrate, the agency selected by the central government, about the problems and directed them to ensure prompt resolution. He stated that this project is a centrally sponsored scheme, constructed by Magistrate. The cost per house is ₹13.29 lakh, with the central government contributing ₹5.5 lakh, the state contributing ₹1 lakh, and the beneficiary contributing ₹6.79 lakh. A total of 1,008 houses have been constructed in this seven-block project.
So far, the corporation has paid Rs 4.08 crore for drainage construction, Rs 9.2 million to the PHED for water supply, Rs 90,000 for water flow meters, and Rs 1.16 crore to JBVNL for electrical installation. The assistant administrator, city manager, and PMAY branch staff were present during the inspection.
