Ranchi: Pre-monsoon rains have started showing their effect in Jharkhand. During the last 24 hours, heavy rains and thunderstorms continued in most districts of Jharkhand state including Ranchi.
The Meteorological Department has again issued an orange alert in many parts of the state today regarding heavy rains, thunderstorms and lightning. People have been advised to remain alert especially in Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Hazaribagh, Ramgarh, Khunti, Bokaro and Deoghar districts. The Meteorological Center has predicted heavy rains with intense thunderstorms in most districts of Jharkhand on Monday. A warning has been issued of sudden change in weather after 2 pm. By evening, there will be rain with strong thunder, thunderstorms and lightning. Severe weather activities can be seen in Kanke, Dhurwa and Hinoo areas of the capital Ranchi.
