Ranchi: The court has refused to grant bail to six accused jawans lodged in jail in the paper leak case of the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) examination conducted under the Jharkhand State Staff Selection Commission (JSSC). This has come as a big shock to everyone. The court has rejected the bail petition filed on his behalf. The court of the Special Judge of CID had reserved the order after hearing the petition on May 3. The court has refused to grant bail to Kaviraj, Robin Kumar, Akhilesh Kumar, Gaurav Kumar, Nivas Kumar Rai and Abhilash Kumar. The accused had filed a petition last month pleading for bail.
All the accused are jawans of Indian Reserve Battalion-8. The CID arrested the accused in the said case on 25 March 2025 and sent them to jail. Since then they are in jail. Let us tell you that the JSSC CGL examination was conducted in three shifts in all the districts of the state on 21 September 2024 and 22 September 2024. Before the exam, members of a gang had collected money from the candidates in the name of providing them the paper, due to which rumours and suspicions of paper leak spread among the people. After this, the investigation of the case has been handed over to the CID.
