Ranchi: CMD Nilendu Kumar Singh administered the Swachhata Pledge to the employees under the Swachhata Hi Seva Abhiyan at CCL Headquarters. On this occasion, Finance Director Pawan Kumar Mishra, Personnel Director Harsh Nath Mishra, Technical/Operations Director Harish Duhan, Technical/Planning and Project Director Satish Jha, CVO Pankaj Kumar, General Managers/Department Heads of Headquarters and a large number of officers and employees were present. As an oath, everyone took a pledge that I will neither create dirt nor let anyone else do it. Also, I will first start with myself, my family, my locality, my village and my workplace. I believe that whatever countries of the world look clean, the reason for this is that the citizens there do not create dirt nor allow it to happen. Hence, I will voluntarily donate 100 hours of labour every year i.e. two hours every week for cleanliness. It is worth noting that Swachhata Hi Seva Abhiyan will be celebrated across the country starting from September 17 till Gandhi Jayanti on October 2. Under this, various workplaces will be identified and made clean by running awareness campaigns related to cleanliness in all command areas of CCL. The theme of this year is Swabhaav Swachhata - Sanskar Swachhata. This theme indicates a change in perspective of moving towards behavioral change with a modified approach by adopting cleanliness as a part of daily life and culture. Under this campaign, cleanliness related art and essay competitions, street plays and other programs will be organized. On the occasion, a base camp was organized for Safai Mitras.
