BJP to Launch ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ from September 17 to October 17
Ranchi, August 31, 2026: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will organise a month-long ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ in Jharkhand from September 17 to October 17 to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi completing 25 years in public life. The campaign aims to take the Prime Minister’s achievements and the welfare schemes of the Central Government to people across the state.
A state-level workshop was organised at Haveli Banquet Hall in Sukurhutu, Kanke, Ranchi, to prepare for the campaign. The programme began with floral tributes to the statues of Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp.
Addressing the workshop, BJP state president and Rajya Sabha MP Aditya Sahu said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been continuously working for the welfare of 1.4 billion people with a spirit of service. He said the Modi government’s welfare schemes have reached people at the grassroots level and touched almost every household.
Sahu said that for the first time after Independence, people feel that the person leading the country is one among them and is working for their welfare. He said the Modi government has worked for farmers, the poor, deprived sections and people living in villages.
He further said that India’s stature and respect have increased globally during the Modi government’s tenure. According to Sahu, Narendra Modi has demonstrated that an honest individual and strong leadership can change the destiny and image of a country and a state.
Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi described Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s tenure as remarkable and said several major development projects have been completed in Jharkhand and across the country during the past 12 years.
Referring to Jharkhand, Marandi highlighted the construction of a bridge over the Ganga in Sahibganj, an AIIMS, three medical colleges, redevelopment of railway stations and large-scale highway construction. He said the BJP must take information about these achievements to the people.
On the MMDR Bill, Marandi said the legislation would be highly beneficial for Jharkhand and alleged that Congress leaders were misleading the people by hiding the facts. He said the Central Government would protect Jharkhand’s rights and interests.
BJP national secretary Pradeep Verma said this year marks the silver jubilee of Narendra Modi’s public life and called upon party workers to celebrate the occasion with enthusiasm. He stressed the participation of youth, students, women and beneficiaries of Central Government schemes in the programmes.
Verma said workers should not only inform people about Central schemes but also encourage them to avail themselves of the benefits and assist them at the block level wherever required.
BJP Jharkhand organisational general secretary Karmveer Singh gave a presentation on Narendra Modi’s 25 years in public life and detailed the programmes planned under the campaign.
He said that while Modi’s birthday was earlier observed as a fortnight-long programme, this year it would be celebrated as a month-long ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ from September 17 to October 17.
Singh announced that district-level workshops will be held on September 5, 6 and 7, followed by mandal-level workshops on September 8, 9 and 10. He also explained the programmes planned for September 17, including lighting a lamp of blessings in every household and various service-oriented activities.
The organisational general secretary also announced state-level teams comprising convenors and co-convenors for 14 different programmes and urged BJP state office-bearers, MPs, MLAs and workers to participate actively.
The programme was conducted by state general secretary Manoj Singh, while Biranchi Narayan delivered the vote of thanks.
Former Chief Minister Madhu Koda, Union Minister Annapurna Devi, former state presidents Ravindra Rai and Deepak Prakash, state office-bearers, MPs, MLAs, party spokespersons and representatives of BJP’s 30 organisational districts were among those present.
