Ranchi, September 10: Preparations for the Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FJCCI) election for the 2026-27 session are in the final stage. The election will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at Marwari Bhawan, Harmu Road, Ranchi. Voting will take place from 9 AM to 5 PM.
A meeting of the election officials was held at Marwari Bhawan on Thursday to review the arrangements for the polling process. Election Committee Chairman Anchal Kinger said extensive arrangements were being made to ensure a smooth and transparent election.
Before polling, members will receive their voter number and counter number via SMS. A total of 40 computers will be installed at the polling venue. The voting software has been designed to ensure that voters cannot select fewer than 21 or more than 21 candidates. The names and photographs of candidates will be displayed on the computer screens to help voters identify and select their preferred candidates.
Voters will also receive a food coupon along with their voting slip. After voting, members will be able to avail themselves of the meal facility at Digambar Jain Bhawan.
Election Committee Co-Chairman Pawan Sharma said arrangements would also be made for supervisors near the computers being used for voter verification. Talking on mobile phones or taking photographs during voting will be strictly prohibited. If anyone is found violating the rule, the concerned ballot may be declared invalid.
Candidates will not be allowed to distribute gifts, water bottles or any other material at the polling venue. Candidates can submit written objections to the election officials in case of any complaint. Public statements against the Chamber or organisations associated with it will be treated as a violation of the election code of conduct, and disciplinary action may be taken against the concerned candidate.
Candidates will also not be permitted to move around the polling venue wearing ID cards. ID cards will be used only by election officials and personnel associated with election management. Election campaigning will be allowed until September 11, and all campaigning will come to an end after midnight on September 11.
The Election Committee has appealed to Chamber members to use two-wheelers or public transport as far as possible to reach the polling venue so that traffic arrangements are not disrupted.
Election officials appealed to all candidates to strictly follow the election code of conduct and cooperate in ensuring a peaceful voting process. They also urged all members to participate in large numbers and exercise their democratic right to vote.
